Raniere Et Al, today’s Status Conference saw much posturing and complaining from the defense attorneys representing Keith Raniere and Clare Bronfman – and not much of anything from the attorneys representing Allison Mack

Today’ Status Conference will be the first time that the remaining defendants in the U.S. v. Raniere Et Al case will have seen one another since learning that their former co-defendant, Nancy Salzman, has pleaded guilty to one count of Racketeering Conspiracy and two predicate acts: i.e., conspiracy
With the second superseding indictment now the operative charging instrument, Keith Vanguard AKA The Master AKA The Grandmaster AKA Federal Prisoner 57005-177 is now facing eleven felony counts in the case of the U.S. v. Raniere Et Al.

This past week was filled with several major developments regarding the case of the U.S. v. Raniere – and set the stage for the ultimate demise of Keith Raniere and his remaining co-defendants in that case.

For the first time in nearly 20-years – and probably quite a bit longer – Nancy Salzman was forced to tell the truth on Wednesday when she stood before U.S. District Court Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis and pleaded guilty to one count of Racketeering Conspiracy and two racketeering acts.

One of the first things you learn in the law school class that covers trial tactics is how best to present your case.

Unbeknownst to us – and, more importantly, undisclosed to federal officials – Keith Alan Raniere evidently has a one-third ownership interest in Wakaya Island in Fiji, which was originally purchased by Clare Bronfman.

Assuming the case of the U.S. v. Raniere Et Al starts, as currently scheduled, on April 29th – and assuming that the prosecution is able to present its case in the 5-6 weeks it has been estimated that portion of the trial will take – we could be seeing the start of the defense portion of the case so
