"Sources in Niagara Falls tell www.PoliticsNY.net that the Niagara Falls Reporter and columnist Frank Parlato (One Niagara) are being given credit for unhinging the Maid of the Mist (Jimmy Glynn) Steamship Company’s lucrative lease deal with the Ontario government.  Parlato wrote several columns identifying the sweetheart terms of Glynn’s agreement and earlier this week the Ontario cabinet, apparently responding to those stories, opened up the agreement, dealing a serious setback to Glynn’s portfolio.  Parlato has also attacked the terms of the Maid of the Mist company’s lease deal with the New York State Parks that runs to 2042, providing services on the American side.  Until now, Glynn has apparently had his way on both sides of the river but now the tide seems to be shifting.  Let’s give credit to businessman Parlato and the Niagara Falls Reporter for pulling back the covers on this boat ride that apparently has reaped millions for the Glynn empire with nary a whisper, until now, of the sweetheart terms he has enjoyed.  The Niagara Falls Reporter will have all the details once again in Monday’s editions."
