Growing Niagara’s tourism industry/economy is the most important issue facing Niagara Falls. At the focus of this issue is “Do Nothing Developers.” These clowns have managed to buy up all the key property at auction prices and then try to sell it at 100 times its purchase price. As a result, these “Do Nothing Developers” stagnate development in the tourist district and blight our neighborhoods as well.
“Contracts” the problem of past administrations is straddled upon the new administration. Thus, bogus developers have produced nothing to date. Vacant malls and misty theaters are the remains of the Cordish Co. taxpayer scams. You almost wonder if these developers are working for the Canadian cause, buying up US property just to prevent it from being developed. Thus, giving Canada the edge over Niagara Falls USA.
It’s good to see that the new mayor and his administration are aggressively pursuing these “Do Nothing Developers” in order to move the city’s tourist industry ahead. Cordish was forced to take down the misleading Rainbow Mall signs that lead tourists to a vacant mall. Taking back property from “Do Nothing Developers” appears to be on the agenda from the new administration. One Niagara and its new owner Frank Parlato Jr. are also proof that the new administration is working for the future of the tourism industry. Parlato with the cooperation of the new administration foreclosed on the building recently and eliminated another set of “Do Nothing Developers” from Niagara tourism landscape. Eradicating “Do Nothing Development” is the key to our city’s future.
