Olma becomes a delightful spectacle, as he attempt to inform committee of shortcomings...

According to an unimpeachable source: At the last meeting of the Cheektowaga Town Democratic committee, County Legislator Greg Olma, in attendance as an invitee, since, in fact, he is not a Cheektowaga committeeman, rose suddenly to speak -- and to instruct the committee members of their numerous ills and shortcomings.

James Burst, Chairman of the Cheektowaga Democratic Committee listened appreciatively for awhile, but when Mr Olma began to dilate at to great a length, showing no signs of abatement, Mr. Burst asked him politely to "please be seated" as he was interrupting the entire meeting.

Mr. Olma’s weighty thoughts however were too weighty to immediately contain, and so he, perforce, overlooked Mr Burst comment, and continued his oration.

At length, Mr. Burst informed Mr. Olma: "You’re here by invitation, and, if you don’t shut up, we’re going to have to ask you to leave the meeting. You can come back later, after the meeting is over, and enjoy a drink with us."

Mr. Olma once upon his subject, however, could no more arrest his thoughts, all aeager and seeking _expression, than one could arrest the mighty Niagara from its plummet, or reverse the flow of the great Nile flowing Northward. Mr. Olma continued to unleash the current of his fullest and most mature thought, as he reminded the ladies and gentlemen, there, of their duplicity and weakness. Oddly, however, instead of being gratified to have this choice attention lavished upon them, and using it to improve themselves, certain members of the committee escorted Mr. Olma directly out of the building.

However, in spite of this singular indignity, Mr Olma was gracious enough to return after the meeting concluded, and consumed in a spirit of right goodwill, a substantial quantity of free alcohol
